The Composition of Delhi Iron Pillar  made 2000 years ago !

The Delhi Iron pillar, near Kutub Minar, which was formerly known as Vishnu Stambha,  which has high phosphorous, low sulfur, no manganese and high slag contents contribute individually and collectively to the good corrosion resistance of the pillar. It has carbon  0.08%, silicon  0.046%, Phosphorous  0.114%, Manganese nil,  Sulfur  0.006%, Nitrogen  0.032 %,  Copper  0,034%  and Iron 99.72%.   This is what  science  says!   What our old prime minister who had very little respect  on Indian capability says is “ The iron pillar…baffles contemporary scientist. They cannot determine the method of manufacture which prevented the iron from  oxidation and other atmospheric hazards (Nehru in Discovery of India) = = =India has capability in olden days and also in modern days . Let each and everyone of us prove   that !
